Al Murray All You Need Is Guv: Portsmouth Guildhall, 17th April 2026

Al Murray has been doing his Pub Landlord act for decades, and he is still as funny today as he was in the mid 1990s when he first introduced the character.

The material hasn’t dried up either, which is why Al Murray’s Pub Landlord is back with another tour for 2026. This one is called All You Need is Guv, and it will be showing at the Portsmouth Guildhall on the 17th of April for one night only.

To my knowledge, Al Murray is the only comedian on the circuit to include a splash zone seating area. Why? Because he is going to throw sweet frothy pints of lager at you of course! It’s a novel new feature, but ticket holders in the splash zone will get a free poncho to wear during the performance, and the Landlord’s advice is to wear it.

Although he may have used slightly more colourful language:

The show itself seems to have a bit of a groovy 1970s vibe – which is surprising given the character’s usual schtick. But what will not have changed is Murray’s liking of interacting with the audience. A lot.

In between offering common sense advice to solve all of the world’s problems, but especially those of the UK, you can expect the Pub Landlord to ask questions and have conversations with the people in front of him. So if you’re shy, sit at the back!

Door time is 7pm, so don’t be late or there will already be a massive queue at the bar, and as anyone who has ever seen the Pub Landlord before will know, he never has anyone else behind the bar serving to help.

Tickets cost £37.85 for regular seats, or £72.95 in the Splash Zone. Those ponchos must be really good quality.

Seriously though, what a cracking Friday night this will be. The pub and the theatre rolled into one, with guaranteed laughs on top. Smashing.
