Summer is here, and the 17th edition of the Southsea Food Festival looks like it’s going to be a sizzler. Palmerston Road, Osborne Road, and Clarendon Road are going to be packed.
This year the festival takes place on the 5th and 6th of July, when the streets will be filled with amazing local food, live music, family fun, and so much more.
It’s the ultimate family foodie event, with more than 60 traders ready and raring to go, including:
- Arcane Alchemist – Mead and homebrew ingredients
- Baba Dhaba – Pakistani street food
- Butternut Box – A fresh take on food for dogs
- Crepe Roulette – Sweet & savoury crepes made freshly to order
- Granny Sallys Fudge – 47 flavours of fudge
- Hambledon Wine Estate – English sparkling wines
- Melted – Fresh grilled lobster
- Psycho Juice – Hot chilli sauce and spicey snacks
- The Bao Beast – Homemade bao buns pus gyoza, satay chicken skewers, and loaded fries
- The Seagull Saloon – Craft beers, wine, spirits, and cocktails
- The Wicked Bubble Tea Company – Fresh bubble Tea and bubble slush
As you can see, the variety is incredible, and this is just a sample. You can probably find every type of cuisine on the planet in Portsmouth this weekend.
It’s an open event so it’s free to attend, and while you may well find free samples, you should bring some money so you can buy some of the great food, drink, and treats on offers.
Entertainment

The Southsea Food Festival is not just an opportunity to get your hands on lots of amazing food and drink, it’s also got plenty of entertainment lined up.
The live acoustic music program runs throughout both days of the festival, starting at 11am and finishing at 4:40pm, with sets from seven different artists each day.
On top of that, the festival has introduced a Kitchen Stage for 2025, with live demonstrations from professional chefs every half hour from 11am to 3:30 pm.
You’ll find a few rides and other bits to entertain the kids, too.
The Southsea Food Festival is a fantastic annual event, generating over £1 million for the local economy and drawing tens of thousands of visitors. A real gem for Portsmouth that everyone should go and support.
See you there!
