Nina Conti – Whose Face Is It Anyway? – Kings Theatre: 1st October 2025

Who fancies a laugh?

Nina Conti has been entertaining the nation for over 25 years as an actress and comedian, but it’s her comedy ventriloquist acts that have gained her the biggest fan base. Her appearances on Live at the Apollo among other shows gave her a platform and she has been bringing the funnies ever since.

Nina is a BAFTA nominee and a British Comedy Award winner, so if you are unfamiliar with her style, you can be sure you are in for a good night if you buy tickets for her show, Whose Face is it Anyway, at the Kings Theatre, Portsmouth, on the 1st of October.

The show is unscripted, which means she will be improvising much of it on the night. Her favourite trick is to use audience volunteers and get them involved, either as human ventriloquist dummies or as something else, so don’t sit near the front if you’re shy!

This show is much more than a one trick pony though, I’m sure Nina will have plenty more tricks (and voices) up her sleeve.

Tickets

Tickets for the show start at £19, but they are very close to selling out so don’t wait if you want to book. Nina tours quite a lot, but this show is slightly different from her usual fare and has been getting excellent reviews, so it’s not one to miss.

The show starts at 7:30pm but the theatre will be open before that for drinks etc. It’s suitable for ages 14 and above, and the performance lasts one hour and forty five minutes with an interval halfway through.

Watch the video above and you’ll see just how much fun Nina’s shows are. Portsmouth is lucky to have her visiting.
