How often does an Olivier Award nominated show come to town? Not often is the answer. But from July 31st to August 2nd, The Tiger Who Came To Tea by Judith Kerr OBE will be showing at Theatre Royal Portsmouth as part of their latest tour.
An absolute classic bedtime story for families all over the country for many decades, The Tiger Who Came To Tea has been lovingly adapted for the stage by Nicoll Entertainment, full of magic, sing along songs, and a healthy dose of chaos.
This show comes directly from the West End in London, so it’s a top quality production right here on your doorstep. As family theatre goes, this really is top drawer, and the kids won’t forget it in a hurry.
The show runs for 55 minutes with no interval, and is suitable for children aged 3 and above. Everyone there will understand the score, so don’t worry about children needing the loo or talking during the performance, it’s all expected, and nothing the case won’t have seen before either.
As for tickets, they cost £18.00 for everybody, which makes things nice and simple, and on most days shows take place at 11am and 2pm, which should give you enough options to deal with naps and what not.
This shows has been wowing audiences since 2008, and reviews have always been fantastic. So come and see what all the fuss has been about for yourself.
