Punk Off! The Sounds of Punk & New Wave: Kings Theatre Portsmouth – 31st January 2026

You can only truly understand it if you were there at the time, but Punk Off! The Sounds of Punk and New Wave at the Kings Theatre Portsmouth will be an anarchic night out for adult music fans of all ages. It’s not just for those that lived through it.

The punk and new wave era took a sledgehammer to the music industry in the 1970s. It might not have lasted very long, but its impact changed everything, and this show, taking place on the 31st of January 2026, will take audience members through the very best of it.

Expect all of the most brilliant music from the likes of:

  • Blondie
  • The Sex Pistols
  • The Clash
  • The Ramones
  • The Pretenders
  • The Damned
  • The Jam

…and loads more.

If you are imagining a tribute act, think again. This is more like an onstage riot – raw, rebellious, and very much alive with a full cast of singers, dancers, and musicians, each one louder and messier than the next.

The show has garnered loads of 5 star reviews so you know it’s going to be good. It’s high energy, relentless, nostalgic, and you might even see Curly Watts from Coronation Street narrating!
